Hello All,

This is my first time posting here, so I will apologize in advance. Here's my problem:

When I press the power button on my Zalman Z3 Plus tower, the PC tries to turn on, but stops immediately. Push it again, same result. Hold the button down, it tries about 5 times then quits.
Hold the reset button down and press the power button at the same time... it "turns over" and begins to run, as long as the reset button is still held down. However, nothing shows up in the monitor when it is running in this fashion and as soon as you let go of the reset button, it shuts off.

I've replaced the power supply: same results
I've reset/cleared the CMOS: same results
I've taken out the battery for at least a half an hour: same results

A tech trusting friend of mine suggested trying a video card that I know works. I am about to try this, but I wanted to get a conversation started if possible before I attempt this "last hope".

So, I've narrowed it down to 3 possible reasons:

Motherboard (eek)
Power Button Circuit (Hard part to find)
Video Card (Noooooooo... exclamation point, exclamation point, exclamation point)

Any help anyone could bring to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Full system specs?

Btw, it looks like a dead MoBo.

In any event, you can check the power button circuit by unplugging all front I/O cables from MoBo and then shorting the MoBo power + and - pins with e.g screwdriver to power on your system. It's a technique called: jumpstarting a MoBo.

If your system still has POST issues (which it most likely has), it's not the issue of the power button circuit of your Zalman case.
