a month ago i started mining with a fairly decent gamign computer ( bought specially as a gamer to sell on if needed) now as i have caught the bug i want to extend or create it to a proper mining rig.
This is what i have so far.
1x 1080ti
1 x 1070ti
z 370 sli plus motherboard
i7 8700k cpu
8gb ram
Now talking to friends they suggested i ask the folk here.
How many GPUs can my CPU and motherboard handle, is it possible if its 6 to leave two in the case and riser the other 4 / 6 or would it require full new set up.
also is it better to do all AMD all NVIDA or is mixing ok.
Looking at 4/6 more 1080tis at the moment
I have read the cpu is not that important but mine is fairly good either way.
I have looked at the youtbe builds etc just wondering rather than create a whoel new system, if there is a way to add to mine with a riser / using the same motherboard and cpu.
If needed i will of course get a full riser build, just looking for ideas at the moment.
