Hi,

I have ordered yesterday the ryzen 5 1600 and the Asus strix b350 gaming f motherboard. Now I have to choose the compatible ram. Knowing that I leaning towards at least 2666mhz ram (the higher the better for ryzen cups from what I understood). I have checked the qvl, prices (in France as I live here) and I find that there is less choice of 2x4 sets than 2x8. The prices are often over 100 euro for 2x4 GB with lower frequency. What I found as an interesting set is the crucial vengeance LPX 3000 MHz (qvl list says it will run up to 2933 MHz). The price is 199 eur. https://www.amazon.fr/Corsair-CMK16GX4M2B3000C15-Vengeance-3000MHz-Performance/dp/B0134EW7G8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1515845684&sr=8-1&keywords=CMK16GX4M2B3000C15

Good choice? Something better (value for money) can be found?

I also look for an SSD 250-500gb... Samsung 850 Evo is a good choice?

Thank you for your help

Hello,

The current DDR4 RAM Prices are sky high so i think this is a good deal since it is a 3000MHz but make sure your mobo fully supports it.

The SSD you mentioned has a very good results in benchmarks out there .

Regards.

I have the Strix B350-F and am using RAM not on the approved list yet. GSkill TridentX RGB 3000mHz (8GBX2 = 16). Works flawlessly and is very fast. I have the 1600X. Just takes a couple clicks in BIOS to uptick your RAM. Don't settle for lesser RAM speeds on this chip.
