I will keep it simple
"I want to connect mobile wifi hotspot via my ASUS router wirelessly which is then connected to my desktop via LAN cable"

I want my ASUS router to act as WiFi adapter/receiver which then provided Internet to desktop via LAN cable.

Yes i have searched and found several similar things in various forums but non are exact same what I ask for. Mostly there are tutorials to convert router into repeater/adapter but that will be connected to primary router via CABLE but that is what I don't want, I want to act it as the small wifi usb adapter but instead connected via LAN.

Is it possible?? if yes step by step instructions is most welcomed and thanks in advance !!!!!

Solution
It will be simpler to use a USB wifi adapter.

The router must have a feature called client-bridge. It is not real common on routers. It is a feature you see on repeater/range extenders.

Asus router though tend to support third party firmware more than other brands. See if you can load the merlin firmware on it. Merlin is the simplest but if it is not support you can check dd-wrt or tomato. These firmware have the client-bridge feature.
