USB Keyboard fail

My USB Keyboard often fails to work on startup. I unplug/replug it, then it works. Sometimes I have to try a couple times.
7 Y.O. Dell M6600 i7 2.32Ghz W7 up to date.

Any changes to BIOS setting before this started? Tried other USB ports? Could just be a failing keyboard as well. I have a DAS Keyboard 4 Ultimate that started that doing a similiar issue out of nowhere awhile back.

No BIOS changes. It's intermittent but more frequent with time. Changing the port doesn't change the behavior on restart.

Sounds more like a failing keyboard at this point. You may want to look into replacing, as a basic USB keyboard isn't going to cost much.
