Will the i5 3570K Fit in this motherboard?

"Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2 DVI Motherboard (Socket 1155, H61/Micro ATX, DDR3, PC-1333)"

For All i know, it supports DDR3 Ram which is what i have, and that's the motherboard i ordered that's compatible with my system, i just dont know if the CPU Would fit (not very good at compatibility stuff) :p

Thanks!

For that CPU you really want a Z75 or ideally a Z77 motherboard if you plan to overclock.

Otherwise if you don't plan to overclock you ideally need a H/B75/77.

You need to check with your motherboard manufacturer for CPU support. If your H61 motherboard supports the 3570k you will almost certainly need a BIOS update before you install the CPU.

The CPUs for this motherboard (asked about MANY times in multiple threads by the OP) have been discussed many times. All the compatibility info you need can be found at the link SkyNetRising provided. Please stop spamming multiple threads with the same basic questions. Follow up in previous threads if you still have doubts.

As a correction on what I stated in the other thread about potentially needing a BIOS update, that apparently only applies to the non-DVI version of this motherboard, and like SkyNetRising said, this version with "DVI" in the title should already support the 3570K.
