I have about a 200-250 budget and I was wondering what the best cpu & and gpu combo for a case with dimensions of 17.9 in x 7.9 in?

I have 16 gigs of rams im just looking to upgrade, i'm getting a job this summer so I want to upgrade my PC. I mean really the max I would like to spend is about $400 roughly

the max you would like to spend vs the max you should be spending for gaming are likely two different things. at this point in time i really wouldn't buy anything new that was less than an amd r5 1600 and any gpu less than a gtx 1050 ti. anything less just simply isn't worth the money as performance in modern games dramatically drops off. if you really shop around you can probably find both the r5 1600 and 1050ti for about $180 each which would leave you with about $40 leftover for a b350 motherboard, which a decent one would cost about $60.
