I recently have built a new desktop with some old parts.
The old parts consist of a 128gb SSD drive with windows 10 installed on it and a 1 Tb hard drive. I installed a New...
- (Gpu) 1070 ti card (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAAM16UF6405&cm_re=1070ti-_-14-137-255-_-Product)

- (cpu) intel i7 7700k processor (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117726&cm_re=intel_7700k-_-19-117-726-_-Product)

-(Ram) 2x8Gb sticks of ram (dont have a url link for it. but it is new, i just purchased it)

- (Mother board) Tuf z270 mark 1 (https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/TUF-Z270-MARK-1/)

-(Power supply) 1350 W power supply (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2F83K84587&cm_re=1350w_power_supply-_-17-194-105-_-Product)

-(cpu cooler) Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099&cm_re=cpu_cooler-_-35-103-099-_-Product) This was from the old desktop

-(SSD) 250gb Samsung ssd

-(HDD) 3 Tb barracuda sea-gate

This is my userbench mark results: http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/6795988

For some games it performs quite well and others not so much. One thing i have noticed is that even on the desktop the computer runs quite slow, it takes some time for it to even open a windows file and or folder.
One thing i should mention is that i play on a resoultion of 2560x1080p

Some of the games tested are

Far cry primal: 10-40 fps on very low everything

Pubg 60-100 fps very low everything

Dota 2 30-100 fps very low everything, this game in particular has a lot of fps drops.

Squad 80-100 fps very low everything

Escape from tarkov very low everything 60-80 fps on factory, other maps are much lower around 30-40 fps.

Rocket league works fine with a consistent 80-100 fps.

another thing i should note is that i have not noticed any sort of heat or loud noise, i dont know if this due to my gpu or cpu being thermaly locked or what.

The entire point of this post is to ask you the forums if you can help me figure out as to why my computer is have a hard time with some games like far cry primal and other some others. And for my desktop i think i should be able to play at least on normal settings.

Thank you for any response that you send - Joseph

Thank you for your response, i would love to see my computer putting that out, so im going to re read the motherboard manuel to make sure i placed the ram in the right place, and then look up the xmp you suggested and see if they help.

Looks good.

Your CPU is at stock so that's normal.

The GTX 1070Ti hasn't been around that long so I wouldn't worry about that.

Run 3Dmark Fire Strike and post results.

Dota 2 perfoms much better. ty for the xpm tip. Other games still perform terribly, far cry primal is even worse now, when i move the mouse it drops down to like 9 fps, shadow of war is barely striving to reach 30 fps.

I just checked on my computer and it says i have dx 12.

OK, the benchmark doesn't report information on DirectX 12 and the info on 11 is empty... so I don't know what goes on there.. but the cause of Far Cry performing so bad may be related to the GPU driver if you haven't installed the Nvidia driver and are using the Windows generic driver on the card. I don't read you mentioning that in the thread.

I do not know what the cause was, but i reinstalled my windows 10 and all of my problems have been fixed. Sooo must have been that i had to many files on my computer.
