Flashing image for Intel Management Engine Firmware failed

I have mobo Intel DH61SA .
I updated my bios v24 - v48 - v99 - v109.

Now unable to update to v120.

It shows

Flashing image for Intel Management Engine firmware …(Failed!)

In bios system information it showing DH61BE , but mine is DH61SA.

Unable to enter bios update by pressing f7

Unable to install mei driver also.

My PC is

Windows 7 64 bit
Intel pentium 2.6ghz , 2gb ram
H61 express chipset
Intel DH61SA motherboard.

Others working fine well.
Able to install new OS.

have you checked that your chipset driver is properly installed? did you see any yellow marks in the device manager? like in the PCIE? or USB? did you restart? you can use the driver booster tool anyways to compare what drivers you have and what the tool found. you may need a later version of the chipset driver.

man this is an old system before my time (before i got into PC building) rofl. sometimes trying updates on bios can be very tricky esp with really old boards. have you tried re^installing the version prior the latest again? did you use the Express BIOS exe file? its usually the easiest way to go.

did you download it from this site? you can retry the one that you are most familiar with. but the express version is usualy the easiest way.

but the error you are experiencing sounds like you have skipped a couple of versions there. you can do the update thru recovery option. just follow the instructions on the site below. choose "recovery with usb". download the *.bio file from the link above.
