Drive not showing up in windows

I tried installing linux but it didn’t complete .now i am unable to find my drive in windows after installing new windows 10.The drive shows up in management as a healthy partition but shows only delete option. Its contains documents which i dont want to loose.Please help to recover the drive.Thanks

Sounds like the drive may be formatted in a file system Windows can't read. I'd suggest creating a Linuxlive USB flash drive. Whatever distro, Elementary OS is probably the most user friendly. Then then transfer your files off the hard drive to another drive formatted in a file system Windows can use. I'd suggest ExFAT or NTFS. If it has enough space. You can just transfer your files to your Windows boot drive.

It doesn't sound like you are maintaining a backup. If your files are important to you. Keep a backup.
