Hi, hopefully someone is able to help. I have a monitor using a DVI to DP adapter. Whenever I put the computer to sleep for the night and wake it up in the morning. This monitor using the adapter doesn't turn on. I check the display settings and the monitor is not showing there. I usually have to shutdown and unplug and plug in the adapter and power to make it work again. Any Idea on the issue?

My GPU is a MSI GTX 970.
I'm not sure if it's an active one or not.
The adapter I am using is here https://www.cablestogo.com/product/41379/dvi-to-displayport-adapter-converter.
I'm using a DVI output from the GPU to a DP on the monitor.
The monitor is a aoc g2460pg.

Yes that is an active adapter. Why are you even using it? Do you have a display port cable? Just connect the DP cable from your gpu to the monitor with no adapter.
The adapter is likely causing it, it may not power up when the pc wakes up from sleep, only after a restart. If you don't have a DP cable I would recommend you get one and just use that.

You could use a DVI-D dual link cable with no adapter as well if you don't have another DP port. I doubt there is anyway to solve the issue of it not waking up after speed while using the adapter. You can try plugging a usb cable into the supplemental power port on the adapter, that might work if you aren't already.
Unfortunately the monitor only has DP.... I currently have the usb plugged in already. I tried pluggin the usb into a power cable directly instead of the PC as well, didn't do anything. I found an option called deep sleep on the monitor which I turned off today, have to see tomorrow if that does anything (don't think it will). The sleep issue only occurs after a long sleep time, usually over night.
Have to wait until monday or tuesday to see if C2G support has any solution.

Hi Dunlop, having the same issue with this: https://www.amazon.com/Importer520-Plated-Female-DVI-D-Adapter/dp/B0035B4LJM/, don't think it is active. HP Pavilion 15-cc123cl and monitor is Acer G276HL Gbd (only has dvi input)
