I am getting temps in the 60's at idle, and if i open any games it'll hit somewhere in the 90's-100's, i've put on new thermal paste today, and im getting a new cpu cooler, i've cleaned my computer yesterday, i just dont know what to do anymore
specs:
CPU - AMD A10 6800k 4.1GHz not overclocked
RAM - 8.00 GB
GPU - GTX 1050 Ti
OS - windows 10

Solution
Assuming you have properly applied thermal paste, the cpu fan is working and there is airflow in your case your temps shouldn't go that high. If they stay there nonetheless, reduce that overclock. What voltages are you currently running on the vcore? Maybe you have gone too far. Stability issues when idle mean your overclock is failed.

You have a gtx 1050 ti on a am2 mobo.... honestly i'd get a new cpu and motherboard that is current gen and then put new thermal paste and the new cooler on that. Oh yeah plus new ram. In the case you can't afford that (which is rather likely) any overclocking and voltage increases you've made, restore to default. Definitely replace the cooler asap, and when you do, take off the old paste and put more on. Don't put too much or little. You can look up tutorials on how to apply it. If your fans run slow at high temps, go into your bios and change your fan speeds to higher speeds. I have my cpu fan speed at 25% at 30C, 50% at 40C, 75% at 50C, and 100% at 60C. That might not be exact, as I set it a while back. That does produce a little extra noise, but my cpu temp never goes above 64C or so. You don't have to set them that high though, I'm just overprotective of my hardware :p. Hope it helps!

The only thing I can think of is the CPU cooler is not mounted fully/correctly. That's literally the only explanation I can think of because even without a fan that heatsink should still keep it lower than that at idle.
