Hi everyone,

I need a little help to decide what to upgrade. im planning to buy a gtx 1080ti and a 27'' Gsync 4K screen

I was wondering if you could see anything in my current rig that could potentially bottleneck 4K gaming:

current rig:
SABERTOOTH P67 (this should be compatible with gtx 1080ti right?)
16GB DDR3 1600MZ (4 sticks)
i7 2700K
GTX 970 (just sold)

specifically, my question is: do i need to change MB so I can get DDR4 ram? do I need a better CPU? is this set up will be ok for 4K games? Please remember...I'm not rich or have money to waste...:)

thank you so much for your help and advice

I assume you mean i7-2600K. If you are overclocking the CPU. I don't see much of a need to replace it. Since you are gaming at 4K. The i7-2600K at 4+Ghz should deliver a good experience. There might be a small bottleneck on a few select titles. Not enough to justify a new CPU. If you were trying for very high FPS at 1920x1080 you'd likely want a faster CPU. You can probably hold off until Intel's 10nm die shrink or AMD's 7nm die shrink.

It should all be compatible.
