I dont know whats going on and when it started happening.

i did just upgrade to w10 2 weeks ago not sure if this has anything to do with it ,but i never had this issue before with w8.1 .

Left and Right triggers on the xbox one controller work on some games fine and not on others .

last night i wanted to start Tales of berseria over from the beginning since i stopped playing it for awhile. i got to a point in the tutorial where you have to use RT to trigger a special move but it never did anything even the map keys in the games menu didnt recognize the L or R trigger.

i tried skyrim and tom clancys wildlands with my xbox one controller and all the buttons work fine

I figured it was a glitch but i tried plugging in my ps4 controller and downloaded DS4windows and then the game let me map all the ps4 controllers buttons and it worked.

then i decided to play a new game tonight sniper elite 3 but during the tutorial it said use left trigger to use scope on gun but all left trigger did was bring up cross hairs aim and not scope . I tried to reset all controller layout in game options but still no scope.

Now i was thinking this is windows fault not the to games i tried last night and tonight .I plugged in the ps4 controller on sniper elite 3 and bam the scope works fine.

Please help me figure this out cause i like my xbox one controller on pc and the triggers work fine on skyrim, tom clancys wildlands, mafia 3 and fallout 4

Update :
i read somewhere how to calibrate your xbox one controller using windows and while following the guide it gets to Z axis part and says 50% is normal and the L and R triggers should make it go from 0% to 100% ,but on my xbox one controller it only ranges from 37% to 62%.

another strange thing is the ps4 controller using windows calibrate says its a xbox 360 controller but the triggers do go from 0% to 100%.

2nd strange thing is there is no listing for xbox one controller or adapter in device manager

Solution
Yay i fixed it and i think i know how it got screwed up too.

about a week ago i downloaded xbox accessories app from microsoft store but it wanted me to sign in to a micrsoft acct . so i uninstalled it.

i just thought id reinstall it and see if the mapping would allow me to adjust the triggers ...so i reinstalled xbox accessories app restarted pc so it would recognize controller then it said i need to update the controller so i did then i signed into a ms acct then went to reset the mappings and bam it worked full triggers now...

i am convinced this is what screwed it up and what fixed it ..
