Hello everyone,

I built a computer for my dad a few months ago, and decided to go the ryzen route. A few months down the line the audio completely stops working, and it was working the day prior to this.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest audio drivers, and they seem to recognise when a device is being plugged in, or unplugged. I have tried about four different audio sources (they worked with my phone), and there is still no audio. there is the icon in the bottom right of windows indicating no audio source. The computer seems to think that the device isn't plugged in, but it indicates that it's plugged in when I plug an audio source in (a notification comes up in the bottom right of the screen.)

This leaves me completely stuck. If the audio port was fully blown, it probably wouldn't indicate that there is a device plugged in.

To clarify this does not work in the front audio panel connectors or the back.

Any help would be MASSIVELY appreciated.

Hi,

If you downloaded the driver from manufacturer's website and it is still not working, most likely disabled in BIOS of defective motherboard need RMA.
If not under warranty anymore, you can buy a pci audio card if you have pci slot available.
