I'm trying to build a PC for VR gaming on Vive and also standard gaming. I would like to have some feedback / advice. As there might be some parts that might be too much or too little for it.

I strongly recommand you going to get the 8700k for gaming especially for vr gaming.

the 1800x doesnt come close in single core peformance.

Don't go for the tesseract case it might look good but it's poorly made believe me. Go for something like a S340 Elite.

Thanks, I thought having more cores was more efficient for VR? I would.do some more research on that.

Looks good to me. I also reccomend getting an ssd for your os and some games.

I recommend a 500gb or bigger ssd for os and vr games. Many of them are large and have atrocious load times (e.g. Mage’s Tale). I had them on a hdd and it was unbearable. Moved to spare ssd and all is well.
