So I am upgrading my old 24" 1080p monitor But i was wondering should I buy 3 1080p monitors and have a triple monitor setup or buy a single 1440p Ultrawide monitor? Ive seen a lot around and people say go ultrawide cause no bezels and stuff but ive seen loads of people play on triple and it really seems amazing to me for some reason. But at the same time I love the Idea of 1 slick long clean monitor for gaming on my desk as well. I have a budget of max 500 Euro and I know for a 1440p ultrawide this is not enough but i have found these what do u guys think?

I really like the crossover one as it has 95Hz

And as of the triple monitor i was think 3 23" - 24" monitors with slim bezels something like these still not sure I cant find the perfect one for triple with small bezels.

Also for running them I have a GTX 980 rn but im planning on buying a 1080 or waiting for a 1180 or whatever will be next. But I really cant make my mind up I love both but I would like to ask people that has experienced these what would ye recommend as ill be sticking with this setup for a good couple of years.

The AOC is nice and yes if you can afford it go for 1440P/Gsync. The only reason I didn't as I ran into some financial issues but I'm happy with what I have :)

I read this article the other day: https://www.techspot.com/article/1439-using-4k-tv-as-desktop-pc-monitor/

It sure makes a strong case for a single, large monitor, especially 4k. I myself have dual monitors, which are fine, but my next upgrade will be the big single.

Personally, I like maximizing one thing on each screen with one screen for things that don't need a full screen. I'd probably be annoyed if I consolidated my current 2x1200p + 1x1080p on a single UHD display so I'd most likely end up keeping my two 1200p as side-displays to toss my secondary stuff on.

I think some games will not support triple single displays.
No matter, I also am in the camp of the 34" ultrawide.
I particularly like that the units you picked have a slight curve to them.
My 40" 4k monitor could benefit from a curve.

And... find a place to keep your current 24" monitor if you can.
It will not impact gaming and is nice to have email or performance monitors open.

The only thing games need to support is arbitrary aspect ratios. As long as a game supports that, you simply go in your graphics adapter setup, configure your monitors as a single virtual display (don't remember how that is called in AMD's driver and haven't bothered trying it on my 1050 yet) and then all the game sees is the single virtual display.

I have three displays on my PC mainly for work-related reasons, tried triple-display gaming just for fun for a few hours, not that fun with three dissimilar displays on a 1GB HD5770 at the time.

Eyefinity/Surround looks like a single higher resolution display to the games/applications. As long as the game/app doesn't freak out from ridiculous aspect ratios or unexpected high H/V resolution, they'll work. Most games that "don't work" simply don't support unusual aspect ratios or higher resolutions.

One annoyance with all displays getting merged into one higher resolution virtual display is that the Windows desktop also behave like you have only one display - maximize expands the window across all screens instead of only the current one. Because of it, I ended up disabling Eyefinity when I wasn't trying triple-display gaming just for lolz. IIRC, AMD's drivers were discarding my Eyefinity setup every time I disabled it, which is another reason why my Eyefinity experiments were short-lived.

Just picked up a 29" 2560x1080P/75hz and I really like it. Using my Asus VG248QE as secondary.

Tried a few games, here are the ones natively supported.
-The Division
-Battlefield 4
-Shadow of Mordor
-Blade & Soul
-World of Warships
-Borderlands
-Borderlands 2
-Borderlands: Pre-Sequel
-Portal
-Portal 2
-Jade Empire (some lag, possible driver issue or doesn't support above 60hz).
-Star Citizen (Alpha 3.0)
-Diablo 3

Games that don't support (black bars on side).
-South Park: Stick of Truth
-Bayonetta

Alright I have decided for the Ultrawide I guess its better in a way. So I was gonna go cheap with that off brand ElectriQ

https://www.buyitdirect.ie/p/electriq-34-2k-quad-hd-freesync-curved-gaming-monitor-eiq-34cmuwq60gafs?refsource=BIDIEadwords&gclid=Cj0KCQiAs9zSBRC5ARIsAFMtUXGAEnbf94FnQDF15zyI95IIFb8fA3a80ScBrMwPDPBT9gnKTVj-wiIaAnkUEALw_wcB

but I really cant find much reviews for it it seems really goof for the price and all But I was looking at this one and was wondering what u guys think? Should I put down this much cash for such a monitor or is there a better one? I also like that it has G-Sync and so on.

Like I have the cash right now. Its just is it worth putting so much money on it? cause From what ive seen the next best thing is the X34 Predator but thats like 1200 euro or so. I have about 800+ euro Or should I just go with that cheap ElectriQ one? I want a 1440p ultrawide more than 60Hz would be nice and stuff like g-sync but yea,

Yea that looks really nice but Im looking for 1440p I want to jump up that resolution a bit. I know its much harder to run but it should be okay if i lower the settings.
