Hi!
I am wondering if my PSU is bringing down my overall performance in my build, and if a better PSU will increase performance?

My specs are:
Mobo: MSI B150 Gaming M3
CPU: Intel i5 6500 Skylake
GPU: MSI GTX 960 4G
RAM: HyperX Fury DDR4 2666MHz
PSU: Silver Power SP-SS500

Solution
Nope, Unless you are overclocking. Your PSU will not help increase performance. The only reason a good PSU will help for overclocking is because the voltage supplied is more stable and necessary for tweaking.

That plus they won't kill your components lol. That PSU is nearly 10 years old. Time to think about replacing it, those capacitors don't last forever.
