I just got a new ram stick from my brother which is a HyperX Fury Red 8GB 1600 Mhz. I already have a Kingmax 4GB 1600 MHz which i have enabled XMP. When i run these two together, cpu shows they are running at 1333Mhz. However, when i run them separately ,cpu-z shows them running at 1600 MHz.

My mobo is Gigabyte H81M-DS2.

Are there anyway to make them run at 1600 Mhz ? Thanks in advance

Solution
They have different timings. At 1600 XMP the 4GB has lower timings than the 8GB. Which means they wont' run together at their default XMP.

You might be able to manually set your speed and timings the higher timing of the two.

Disable XMP and set both sticks to these timings at 1600MHz.

By the way, are you sure that i have to disable XMP on my 4GB ram ? Because it won't run at 1600 MHz without XMP enabled

You were right volkgren. I had to disable XMP on my 4 gb ram and set memory multiplier to 16 ( default was 13.33). Now my both of my ram sticks are running at 1600 MHz.

Thanks a lot for your help guys. I really appreciate it.
