Massive DisplayPort FPS Drop

Hi. I just got the BenQ Zowie XL 2540. When connecting to pc via displayport (240hz), I get minimal FPS in games (~30). Whereas if I use HDMI 1.4 I get 300 (!!!) FPS but on 144hz instead of 240hz. Any ideas why this could be happening?

Found the solution: wrong displayport in the pc used (Aurora r6) If you happen to have same issue, make sure you plug DP into the lower one "discrete gpu port".
