Updated my AMD graphics card drivers, before updating device manager listed it as R7 340 now it is listed as R7 200, anyone know why?
Driver update from AMD's automatic ID and update service. O/s Windows 10 (64bit) Asus M32 desktop.

Solution
Some similar versions of GPUs are compatible with the same driver versions. I would recommend you dont use the "auto find" and actually drill down into the AMD website and pick your exact model.

The driver installed is fine I'm sure its just some AMD autodetect misread in the driver settings. However, better be safe and reinstall with the exact drivers.

Thanks for the reply scout03 and androbourne, the computer is a desktop Asus M32 series rather that a laptop. I have now revisited AMD.com, manually input details " value Desktop/ Radeon family R7 Series/Product R7 350 (R7 340 not listed)/operating system windows 10 64 bit. Downloaded Adrenal Edition 17.12.2 optional as specified by AMD.
My device manager still shows the GPU as Radeon R7 200 not R7 340 as per the original computer spec and device manager original listing.
I'm curious why and does it matter?
I use photographic software ON1 raw 2018 which needs to run exclusively off this GPU to work correctly.
Any advice gratefully received please
john
