This is my first build, so please cut me some slack if I'm missing something obvious.
I just finished a build, everything is working fine except for the graphics card. I have to use the integrated graphics from my cpu for the monitor to even work. The graphics card isn't dead because the fan is running on it. However, Windows 10 isn't recognizing the card at all. I can't install the drivers since the graphics card isn't recognized, and there are no previous drivers to delete since it's a new card. I tried Ubuntu before Windows and the same problem occurred. The only thing I can think of is the two installation disks I got from my motherboard and graphics card. I didn't bother to get a disk drive since I didn't think I needed one. I've tried Zotac's drivers, I've tried NVidia's drivers, I've disabled integrated graphics, which made it impossible to see anything (reset CMOS to fix it), and nothing shows up in BIOS about the card either. the PCIE16 slot has priority over integrated graphics and still nothing. Do I need to buy a disk drive?
Thanks for any help.
My specs are as follows:
Gigabyte B250M DS3H
Zotac Geforce GTXX 1060 6GB
Intel i3 7100 3.9GHz
Crucial 4GB 2400MHz RAM
Rosewill Ranger-M Case
Thermaltake SMART 500W Power Supply
