Will my motherboard accommodate my planned build? (Corsair H150i PRO USB connection?)

Hello.

I'm planning a build for gaming in the near future and have made my decision on all of the components/hardware I'd like to be present. However, one aspect of the build has me scratching my head slightly and that is the CPU cooler, the Corsair H150i PRO.

I notice that this liquid cooler features something called 'Corsair Link', requiring a USB cable to connect to some connection on my motherboard (I've no clue what connection this would be, as this is my first time using liquid cooling in any way).

My question to anyone who could answer is this; Will my motherboard (MSI Z270 GAMING M7) accommodate this additional connection and the rest of my build? I apologise for the extremely uneducated terms I've used to describe this, but I truly don't know too much on the topic and would rather ask here and save myself some real trouble than if I just went in blind.

My planned build can be found here: http://

I also welcome any views/feedback on the build overall. I'm aiming for a rather beastly gaming rig that'll give me plenty of room for upgrading in future.

Thank you for your time.

I wouldn't rush to select a best answer. Once you choose it, less people will come. I'd say leave it open for a while to see if you get some other input.

The H150i manual can be found on that page I linked if you look for the word 'download' and click on it. The manual is on that page.

Your motherboard has:
- 1 x 4-pin CPU fan connector
- 1 x 4-pin water pump fan connector
- 4 x 4-pin system fan connectors
- 1 x USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C connector
- 2 x USB 3.1 Gen1 connectors (supports additional 4 USB 3.1 Gen1 ports)
- 2 x USB 2.0 connectors (supports additional 4 USB 2.0 ports)

I just read your case manual (very nice case by the way) and it comes with a PWM hub for installing 6 fans. You then connect that PWM hub to one of the fan...
CORSAIR LINK software allows you to adjust RGB lighting, individual fan speeds, and pump speed while monitoring CPU and coolant temperatures etc. I cut and paste that from their site, just so you don't credit me for that beautiful write up! lol

Yes, your motherboard will have a USB port for the corsair link connection. You can click on the download link, and read the installation manual here: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hydro-series-h150i-pro-rgb-360mm-liquid-cpu-cooler

I just read your case manual (very nice case by the way) and it comes with a PWM hub for installing 6 fans. You then connect that PWM hub to one of the fan headers on your motherboard. You can use that hub for your case fans, or for the rad fans, doesn't matter really. Actually, I'd probably connect the case fans to the hub, and have the rad fans direct to the motherboard? Just thinking out loud. Not sure if you can control the rad fans using corsair link if they're plugged into the PWM hub. Can't see why not though. Have to test that.

The MSI website page for the motherboard seems to have died. Grrrr. Not a big MSI fan, but many are.
