Hey guys, so got back from 3 week holiday today and all I wanted was a chicken dinner on pubg.

Mb= h87 fatality performance 1 series.

I turned my pc on and all it would do is turn on and off constantly 5 seconds on and a couple second off.

I realised that the bios_led_1 was lit up red. So I looked in the mb manual and it said to jump the Bois using a jumper cap, sweet. I'm pretty sure I did it correctly(watched a video just to make sure)

Still my pc was stuck in the boot loop.

So next I did the jumper thing again but on the cmos (clrcmos1)

Now the pc starts and stays on, but I get no signal to my monitor. So I tried every output (gpu and mb outputs using dvi and hdmi) still nothing.

Was sitting there ready to throw it out the window.

So I decided to aggravate myself even more and start it up again. Thing time windows pops up saying "repairing and starts loading something" but yet again the monitor goes no signal.

I'm not sure what to do now except going out and getting a new motherboard.

Atm sometimes it starts and the red bios light is on and it just sits in boot loop. But of it manages to stay on ( no red Bios light) it has no signal.

Would really appreciate any help.
Cheers

when you havent touched your computer for awhile, this usually happens. normally you would just need to unplug your power cable. turn off your PSU. reseat you RAM and GPU. (remove them and put them back on) just to clear up the oxidation on them gold plates. then try to turn it back on.

try this first and if it doesnt work then we'll need to dig deeper then

Ok, last night i did that, and boom. it turned on and i signed in!! Awesome! i left it on and went and did some stuff around the house. I came back an hour later and it was off. So i turned it back on and it all went smooth. i signed in and used it for 10min before bed!

Woke up this morning and its doing it again. Just stuck in bootloop!! So frustrating! i reseated the gpu and ram again. but nothing this time. Still stuck in the bootloop!
