So I've had my custom build for around 2 1/2 years now, never had any issues with it until today. Was working perfectly fine last night, however I've come home from work today and found that while the computer will still power on, no power is going to the peripherals. My motherboard is showing a red CPU light so I'm assuming the problem is stemming from there, as my CPU cooler (NZXT Kraken) is also not lighting up as it normally would when the PC is on although the fans are still spinning. What sort of troubleshooting should I be looking at doing here, or would I be better off just looking at replacing the CPU?

Cheers.

Update: Probably jumped the gun posting this, ended up removing the CMOS battery + one of my RAM sticks and rebooting it after about 10 mins and everything is working again. Out of curiosity as I'm not 100% on sure on why what I did actually fixed it, was it likely just a BIOS issue and removing the battery reset it to a default state fixing the issue?
