n0ns3ns3 :
you can use the HWInfo64 to check the core VID in real time. run some load and check the voltage. anything above 1.25v i'd consider as high.
the program also displays cores frequency and many other useful (and not) info
I got the program, but it is kinda complicated and i have no idea how to use it. Where do i see the voltage?
Edit: I figured out by myself how to see it, it seems like the VID is capped at 1,52V and the core clock is capped at 2,5Ghz.
How can i change this, and what should i change it to?
Edit 2: I disabled Turbo boost from the BIOS, but it doesn't seem to affect the maximum voltage. How do i lower it? I tried pressing some buttons, didn't do anything.
Edit 3: The temperature was not affected by more than a few degrees
