Just installed new parts and pc won't boot

Hey, so just upgraded my systems cpu and cooler and it will no longer boot. I upgraded the graphics card yesterday with no problem and now it won't boot so I feel as though the mobo has shorted or something, any help would be amazing.

My system
Intel i7 7700k
EVGA 1080 SC
Gigabyte GA-Z170-Gaming K3
2x4gb ddr4
1x8gb ddr4
550w EVGA gold standard pay
H100i water cooler corsair

You have to flash the bios to support the 7th Gen CPU.

Put the old CPU back in, update the bios, then it will work.
