Hello guys, I have an issue with my pc. Everytime I start a game or watch 4k videos(or do anything GPU intensive for that matter) , my PC freezes after a few minutes(5-15). All fans inside the PC are working, but I do not know the temperature of any hardware. When I opened my PC to clean it, the CPU respectively, I wiped out the thermal paste, as I thought it was some kind of grime. It runs perfectly if I do not play any game or watch 4k videos(I can watch 1440p, but nothing higher than that).

My specs:

OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-H77M-D3H
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.40 GHz(8 CPUs), ~3.90 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Display mode: 1920x1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)

I have tried some methods I found online for fixing this problem, even solutions I found on this forum. Please help me fix this problem, and if you need any other info, please ask.

I don't think so, as i have had this PC with the same setup for the last 2 years and I never had any problem with it. 1 year ago I updated my RAM to 2x4GB HyperX Savage DDR3 and it worked perfectly, but I will try the memtest86. Thanks for your answer.

oh okay if you have a 2x4Gb then thats fine as is. you can try running a stick at a time until it crashes as well.
you can also check Event Viewer logs. scroll down around the time of the freezes. in the custom view admin.
if you dont find anything, then its on your hardware.
