So I recently got my new build
specs:
AMD X4 860k 4.1GHz - Black Edition
nVidia GeForce GTX1050 2GB OC
8GB 1600MHz DDR3
1000GB (1TB) 7200RPM 64MB
Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-DS2 FM2+
10/100/1000Mbit
7,1 HD Surround
But when i booted Overwatch the game ran horrible, i got 30-50 fps even though my specs are way better than the recomended ones.
I've tried
Hooking my gpu directly into my monitor.
Reinstalling drivers and doing a clean install.
I have settings on low/medium.
I've reinstalled Overwatch.

Solution
your cpu is the problem :
overwatch runs much better with intel processors
(any intel dual core with hyperthreading: pentium G4600 or older i3 processors would be better for this game)
your processor is averaging 40-60 FPS even with gtx 1080
(so it doesn´t matter how much you lower in game settings because your gpu is not the main issue here).

your graphics card is capable of running this game on ultra settings averaging 80-85 FPS if not bottlenecked by the cpu

While I know a single stick isn't exactly the best performance wise the 7400 is much better then that 860K.

On this system, the GTX 1050 is the limiting factor: with that particular CPU, a GTX 1060 or RX 580 would be able to hit 50-60FPS@1080p on Ultra, & could go all the way up to 70FPS on Ultra with a GTX 1080. Having it on Low/Medium should mean better performance, or at least put you in a CPU-limited situation where you top out at 70FPS.

Double-check the temps your CPU & GPU are hitting at idle & while playing. Use MSI Afterburner to check your GPU temps (free download, works with all GPUs, plus will measure your FPS), & use AMD Overdrive to check your thermal margin (AMD CPU temps aren't always reliably read by 3rd-party apps, but Overdrive reads the margin between your current CPU temp & the CPU's "maximum": larger margin = running cooler, you want your margin to be at least 10C or more). If the temps are running hot, then you're getting thermal throttling.

Also check your CPU & GPU utilization, & double-check to make sure that other apps aren't running. If your utilization is high on both, then they're definitely struggling.

Fair enough. Clearly that's a big improvement. I'd definitely have gone with a dual channel memory configuration though.

Might also be worth looking on Ebay for a used LGA 1150 i5 (4470, 4690k, etc.) and motherboard that can use the memory he already has. Practically nothing you do with that 860k is going to appreciably improve things for you in any CPU bound game.

you are looking at the division tests : there the gtx 1050 is limiting factor ,
but in the second graph you can see performance in overwatch (ultra presets) 80-90 fps .
that just proves the point gtx 1050 has more than enough power to run overwatch if it´s not bottlenecked by the cpu ,
there is nothing wrong with his system technically .
860K is just slowing things down in this game
and it will not get better unless he changes the platform and upgrade his system.
