New USB 2.0 wifi adapter sucks?

So I just bought a network adapter for my PC (TP-LINK T2U). It supposedly provides a 150 mbps + 400 mbps ac on dual band but I am only getting around 10 mbps. My MacBook Pro gets 100 mbps and my MacBook Air (2015) gets around 30 mbps. Did I just buy a wrong cheap product? What can let me achieve at least 30+ mbps speeds on my computer? Can USB3.0 help? Or perhaps USB with Antennas?

PS: I do know the difference between megabits and megabytes.

So the results were after actually updating the driver. I installed the most recent ones. In theory, I should get max, no? Because my internet connect is 100mbps.

Not exactly, for me through Comcast I'm supposed to get 100 Mbps however some days (and times) I get faster speeds and others slower as I'm sure everyone on the street has the same provider but due to use it varies. And this is on a wired connection.

No but I tested it with 3 devices on the same spot at the same time...you see.

I want to know if getting a USB 3.0 stick with higher speed i.e 800 MHz instead of 400 mhm on 5ghz would boost the speed or not..
