Hello, forumers! I am looking to buy a Gaming Keyboard for under 100 USD that you guys think is the best in that price range. I haven’t had good luck as the Logitech G213 I bought had some of the keyboards malfunctioning. (you had to press with force in order for the letter to register)

Wish List:

- Customizable-RGB. Doesn’t matter if it’s software-based, or on board. I would like to be able to change keys colors individually, but not exactly a requirement.

- I would prefer the keyboard to be not very noisy, because I will be streaming, but not a requirement.

Done.

Switches honestly don’t matter to me, but just looking for input from others. Thanks!

No Linux support and some claiming keys not functioning after certain period of usage but majority say it is very good.

One comment: The STRAFE RGB is actually sort of CUE-dependent instead of simply CUE-allowing. There is no hardware way for you to set lighting of keys or for setting macros (like the Cooler Master Quick Fire XTI or Master Keys). In other words, you NEED CUE if you want to set anything for this board in regards of lighting or macros. It is usable without CUE, though, and, after using CUE to design a lighting profile, you can save it to the keyboard's internal memory (only one, though, and no advanced effects allowed; those and multiple profiles are only accessible via CUE). As an alternative to CUE, there is also a Linux driver (ckb) that allows you to set lighting effects on your STRAFE, and it provides a rather nice interface as well.

I like my Gigabyte Force K85 mechanical keyboard with Kahil red switches.
Plus I added O-rings under each key cap.
It's relatively quiet, it has no click built into the switch and has a soft touch.
The lighting is the whole keyboard as one color and is controlled by software.
You can control it via the keyboard but it's hard to get the right color that way.
The top is aluminum and it feels solid.
