Hi guys, I'm pretty 'out of the game' with selecting the most efficient parts for a new PC, I'm hoping you guys can suggest a build as you are much more up to date on newer parts than I am.

I Live in NZ, prefer to keep the budget to $2200 maximum.
1080p gaming, I do require a monitor so please suggest a good one, thanks.
I play PUBG, league of legends, TW3 etc, would like 60fps as consistently as possible while running them on high settings.

nz.pcpartpicker.com seems to work well however some parts are out of stock even if pcpartpicker says they are in stock so please be mindful of that.

Thanks in advance!

It's got a white/black theme. Comes in just under budget and has a good GPU that with some PUBG settings tweaking will give you 100fps. The monitor was chosen cuz it is 144Hz and it is nice to get 100fps or more in PUBG. Only other thing to do is to add another front fan or find a color/rgb ones you like.
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor ($302.90 @ Playtech)
Motherboard: ASRock - AB350 Pro4 ATX AM4 Motherboard ($157.00 @ 1stWave Technologies)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($302.50 @ 1stWave Technologies)
Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State...
Right now is the absolute worst time to build a PC. Hard to find GPUs and if you do the price is jacked up. I'd suggest looking for a used GPU but by other parts new.

Also, why don't you build on pcpartpicker and then share your link or parts. That way we know exactly what you need....like OS? mouse? monitor? ...

Hi, I just need the tower and a monitor, I've got all the other peripherals.
I'm not sure about the best parts right now so that's why I was just asking for suggestions of a build. Definitely hear you on the prices of parts right now, any idea how long this is going to last because I might just hold off on buying then.

Total: $2073.40

GPU availability is hard to find as of Jan 2018 and they are overpriced. However, the build I listed will game well.

Thanks for the amazing build, it was just what I was looking for. Just a quick question, is it worth picking up the 6gb gtx 1060 instead of the 3gb?

Thanks again

Edit: Now that I think about it, since I would be getting a 144hz monitor, would dropping to 8gb ram and upgrading gpu to gtx 1070 be worth it?

It isn't worth it to get the 6gb version given that it is $120 more for the dual fan 1060 6gb. Also, if you look at testing it only gives 5% gains. In other words, you spend a lot more money for gains that you wouldn't notice. Getting a 1070 would help but then 1060 3gb for $415 to 1070 8gb is $800. Now it really isn't worth the gains.

When you build a system the core components are usually bought with intention of lasting years ....cpu/mobo/ram... however, the GPU is the one component that gets upgraded more often. My old system went thru 3 GPUs while maintaining same cpu/mobo/ram. So, I suggest getting the 16gb RAM for sure. If I were to buy a GPU, in your situation n budget, I'd get the 1060 3gb or buy a used 980ti. The 980ti is almost same in performance as 1070. As of now the price jump to 1070 isn't worth it.
