Alright im just gonna go out on a limb here and say im pretty unlucky when it comes to computers. This mainly just comes from a lack of experience and screwing things up. I had a pretty decent build but i wanted a case that gave me more airflow. When i got the new case i was uninformed that risers were needed so you didn't screw up your components. Needless to say, i fried my motherboard. After $500 on a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM. Once i got it there was no way i wanted to spend anymore money so i had my cousin help me install the new components(Comp sci major and built it for me). I thought everything was going well but then it started blacking out under load(Mainly GTA V). My cousin told me that the stock heatsink that came with my CPU wasn't doing the trick and that i needed a new one, and when i went to fry's a technician agreed that it was a heat issue. After that i went home to install it and when i went to put my CPU back in, i bent some of the pins and broke one off but was able to straighten the rest out and it still turned on. Now it My shutting off problem doesn't occur at any specific time it is random. What happens is that i'm just on it like listening to music or playing or even just loading everything up right after i turned it on. The monitor and motherboard lights turn off but my fans kick into high and just stay like that. Ive literally replace everything but the hard drive and some help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
