CPU with Win10 keeps going into "Entering Power Save Mode" and shutting down.

I followed Cowboydude99's advice and put my machine in Safe mode. After doing so, I left it on and it's been on for several hours now without shutting down. However, the little speaker icon has a red X by it and there is no sound. This leads me to believe there is either a sound card or sound card driver issue with my machine. Could this be the issue? Can anyone help me with this?

There's no sound as most drivers are not initialized in Safe (troubleshooting) mode.

CountMike is Correct.. Most drivers aren't loaded in Safe Mode...
It's safe to assume your issue is a Setting or a driver...

I was able to resolve the issue by typing "windows updates" in the search window, and selecting "check for updates". This opened the PC settings window and had the machine downloading updates. It still kept shutting off, but I rebooted it and it didn't have to start all over, but continued. Finally, it got all the updates downloaded, installed, and I restarted the machine as it requested. So far, no more shutdowns.
