Hi everybody I just recently purchased a new GPU being the 1050ti upgraded from a nvidia geforce gt610, most places I've looked have all said that my specs are compatible for the new 1050ti, when I go to play any games, LOL, Smite, Fortnite, Pubg, CS:GO, it will run everything fine, for anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 hours until my computer screens go black, can't use mouse or keyboard and am forced to restart manually, I've tried underclocking with afterburner and it has seemed to help to prolong the time until it reaches the crash, will underclocking my card do any damage to it overtime, am thinking about just cranking it all the way down for now until I can buy new equipment as I think it might just be an old PSU + Motherboard that are causing the problem ultimately, any tips/help would be great, thank you.

Solution
If you can't afford any replacement parts right now, that is all the more reason not to use that PSU. At a minimum I would re-install your old GPU if you still have it, if you plan to continue to use that PSU, just to protect your new GPU. You are still risking all of your other components.

yeah, I have been thinking that may be the case, I've been constantly monitoring the voltage usage of the GPU, and it never goes over 2000mv, with a 75w limit, so that seems odd to me right there, I had just got this card maybe a week ago now, and I can't even run it in default, I have to underclock it pretty well to the max for my system to be stable while playing games for anymore then an hour, do you reckon if I were to purchase https://pcpartpicker.com/product/MfJwrH/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr
that this could possibly be a solution?
my other concerns are my motherboard being the 760GM-P34(FX) which is very out dated now, that I should also maybe look into buying a new MOBO in the future, even my processor could use an upgrade, but in the meantime would just a psu upgrade make my system use able for long periods of time?

this list here is parts I am looking into for future purchase possibly to upgrade from my existing, already having the 1050 ti, and I believe the liquid cooler is optional, may just get more fans.

on another note, do you think i risk losing anything I currently have just using my system the way it is, if I continue to have my card underclocked, still experience the odd crash, all I'm really worried about is the Graphics card it's all that really needs to last me for awhile.

damn, alright. I'm just trying to figure out my options here, I'm broke right now, can't afford any replacements so doing what I can I guess right now and trying not to avoid any serious issues.
