Morning, All,

I want to transfer my GTX1060 from computer one to computer two. Computer one will become a file/media server, so I do not need anything more than on-board graphics.

Do I need to do anything more than remove the card from computer one and reboot?

I can deal with a new build and the GTX1060 on my own.

Thanks in advance,

Larry

Nope. You've got it exactly right. Just shut down the computer. Remove the card, connect the display to the motherboard graphic output and restart your system.

After you remove the card the board should default to onboard graphics.

Removing it should do the trick. However does you cpu have onboard graphics? Since you didn't say what you have that might be an issue. Just because it has ports on the motherboard doesn't mean it has an igpu.

Don't use CCleaner. Not a safe utility. A reasonable percentage of PCs run through the CCleaners gamut of tools end up with serious problems.
