Hello people,

I wonder if any RX 380 cards are compatible with my MSI B250M Pro VD motherboard. Just finished my budget gaming build, except for my graphics card and was thinking about an RX 380 card.

Maybe somebody knows a good alternative card? My budget is - / + 150 euro. I already had 1050 ti on mind, but that card is expensive where I live.

Here are my specs:

Intel Pentium G4560
MSI B250M Pro VD
8 GB RAM
Corsair 450M PSU

My bad, I meant R9 380, but thanks for the answers

Solution
The gamingX cards are nice, but they are not remotely close to 20% more in performance (to justify the +20% in price) vs something like the Inno3D offering @ 156EUR, or the MSI Aero @ 153

RX380 doesn't exist. Perhaps you're thinking of an R9 380? Or an RX480/580?

Paired with a G4560, a 1050TI is a solid pairing - I wouldn't look to do much more.
The R9 380 is a bit better, but a MUCH larger power draw.
An RX480/580 is even better still - still a larger power draw than a 1050TI.

Given the lack (or overpriced nature) of AMD cards due to mining, I'd try to find a 1050TI in budget or, failing that, and older nVidia counterpart (GTX 670, 680 or 770 should all be within budget).

TDP is much higher on those than a 1050TI though, which may necessitate a different PSU. I'd assume the price of an older card + new PSU *should* be higher than a 1050TI new outright (that'll work just fine on your PSU), so the 1050TI would be my recommendation.

Either way; yes, any remotely modern card (ie PCIe, 2008 onwards..... anything that isn't AGP) is compatible with that board.

Would an r9 380 be a problem with my psu? I know that the 1050 Ti is the best option for my build, but it is hard to get and pretty expensive in the stores

Thats exactly what i was thinking. They say its the best card for a lot less, but IT is still overpriced IMO.

Unfortunately the price of a 1050 Ti is atleast 180 euro / 220 USD.

Sorry; meant to say "near" their respective MSRP. They're not quite 140EUR...

Where are you located specifically? I can't find anywhere in the Eurozone where there's NOT a 1050TI available for <170EUR - not necessarily the "best" models, but 1050TI's none the less.

EUR to USD equivalent isn't relevant unfortunately, each region has it's own pricing structure.
MSRP's were $139 USD, 139GBP ($193 today) 139EUR ($170 today)

Italy 168EUR

Germany @ 160EUR

France 165EUR (Jan 25th)

Spain 169.90EUR

Ireland is a minimum, but can ship from the UK @ 140GBP / 160EUR

Now of course, there are other countries in the Eurozone..... but availability and pricing seems "ok" (relatively to MSRP)

There are cheaper cards, but I was more looking for a Gaming X 4G card.
I live in The Netherlands by the way.
