I recently discovered that my Asus strix 1080ti went bad. I purchased it from new egg in August. I didn’t buy an extended warranty but considering that it’s only been 5 months will Newegg fix it or send me a new card? I’ve never had anything go bad before and it wasn’t because of anything I did to it.

Solution
Newegg's return policy on GPUs is 30 days. After that 30 days warranty issues are handled by the manufacture, in this case ASUS. So you'll need to contact ASUS support for an RMA

Ok thanks I was sort of afraid that I’d have to go to Asus I’ve heard some real horror stories about their customer service

Oh that’s good to hear. I can wait that long it’s not like I really need the computer I use it for gaming and I’d rather not have wasted 800 dollars on a broken graphics card

All that was wrong with my GTX 970 was a noisy clicking fan. They replaced it with a refurbished unit. Considering I had bought the GTX 970 on Ebay I thought it was pretty awesome. :D I suppose since the GPU hadn't been released long enough for the manufacturer's warranty to expire they didn't need proof of purchase, or maybe I just got lucky.

Maybe. I hope that I don’t get a refurbished unit though considering I bought mine brand new. I suppose as long as it functions properly I won’t care
