Hey guys this is my first system. It's been running great the last 2 weeks but the pc crashed on me tonight. The screen froze and went crazy pixelated.

When I try to start the system now it seems to turn on fine (the cpu and ram led's flash quickly) but then the VGA light turns on. However, sometimes the VGA light turns off after like 10 seconds and then the BOOT light comes on. Sometimes the BOOT light turns off after a few seconds and then my mouse lights up and the screen turns on but it's just black. Really its pretty random. So I swapped ram around, took out gpu, reset cmos doesn't matter it will do one of those things, usually it has the VGA light on.

I thought my gpu might be dead so I swapped it with the only other thing I had, a 7300LE (lol). And it actually booted and windows worked! However then I restarted it to try to load into the BIOS and I got the same random ez debug led crap. And now it won't boot again.

So could it be my motherboard? Or is there anything else I could try first?

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
Motherboard: MSI B350M Bazooka
Ram: 2x4 Gskill 3200mhz
SSD/HDD: WD Black m.2 250gb / 500GB HDD
GPU: Asus GTX 1060 3GB
PSU: Raidmax 635w
OS: Windows 10

Thanks!

Ok well I pulled the 7300LE out and put it back in and it booted again. Windows works fine, played with it for a while, even ran ADIA64 for a few minutes and it was all good. So I restarted and booted into the bios, and the cmos was in fact cleared, it was running totally stock. So I put the gtx 1060 back in and it still didn't work. I found out the pattern to the ez debug led, it will keep the VGA light on for about 15 seconds, then it will turn it off and the screen will turn on but the display is black. I tried swapping hdmi cables and using a different port on the 1060 but it didn't matter, still a black screen. Right now the only way I can get it to boot is with the 7300LE and a vga cable..

So I still don't know, I think I will return the gpu? Also I never took the cpu out, is that worth doing at this point?

Yes I think you're right, I'm going to return the gpu and get a new one. No I don't think I did anything wrong with the CPU I just read online that it could affect things. Again first build, just trying to think of any potential problems at this point.
