Hi, I use Windows 8.1. For some years now, I had problems with installations. Some installations just won't progress, when you click cancel, nothing happens. I always have to close them by force. Sometimes they look closed but are running behind and preventing me from opening other installations, in which case i have to close them again by force.
Until now, the solutions I've found always had to do with removing Microsoft Visual C++ 20** redistributables and installing them again, which I CANNOT, because of my problem.
The last three times that I had this problem as far as I remember are:
Warframe
Eviews
Gigantic
Warframe and Gigantic are both via Steam, however, this problem has no pattern. I literally couldn't see single common thing with the installations that had this. I'm completely lost, devastated because every single time I want to use a program or play a game badly, this happens. Yes, the only common thing is if I want them to work badly.
Please help me, I honestly don't know what to do. I cannot even look for solutions online because the key words I use always bring me windows updater or other troubleshooting guides.
Again, I cannot even implement the solutions I find. For example: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=48145, I downloaded this again (for the 20th time in the last 2 years maybe), and it won't progress and I can't remove the older version or what's already installed on the computer because installer is broken.
Edit: So I boot in safe mode, I remove 2015 x64, I cannot remove 2015 x86 and it gives me the following error code about the windows installer: 0x80070641. Now I cannot reinstall 2015 x64 (c++ redistributable).
