Hi all, a few days ago I tried to flash the latest firmware from the site on to my anonabox, it said it is required to reboot to complete but did not do it automatically for around 20 minutes, so I unplugged the thing and plugged it back in. now it is stuck on half booting and never fully turns back on, the green indication light is there but doesn't flash like it should. to make matters worse the reset button doesn't work. unless I'm doing it wrong but the documentation says hold down for 12-15 seconds which I have tried.

I was just wondering if there is a way I can force flash the old firmware back on to the device or hard reset it without accessing the UI. (also if I plug it in with an ethernet I get 'Unidentified network, No internet access')

thanks

is that actually a thing? I thought it could actually be recovered. and Anonabox offer a lifetime warranty if I send it back in for them to examine, it sucks they are avoiding my emails though :/

Warranty is void in the following case:
•Firmware/password modifications and/or changes to settings made to the device after delivery that cause the device to work differently and/or improperly from its original intent.

If you have questions or issues please Email Anonabox or visit the Support page to create a ticket. Anonabox will try and respond to you as quickly as they can.

It was not changed to work differently from the intended use, I flashed Their latest firmware and now it doesn't work. I have sent them quite a few emails with no response so I'm kind of giving up on them.

I am in the same boat, I flashed mine with the newest recommended code posted on the website, back up my configs and it ended up bricked. I have performed these upgrades before (had my Anonabox Pro for two firmware upgrades) and no issues before so I do not think it was a procedure issue.

I sent an email to their support last week and they stated 24 - 48 hours support but still have not received a response yet. I, like you, just want to unbrick my device so that I can use it again.

Randy. I just had the same thing happen to me. Exact same situation.
Thanks for the "Upgrade" Anonabox.

Absolutely no response.
They need to send us a replacement for free considering they are responsible for pushing out the crappy update.
