Hiya, I have a gtx 750ti and an fx 4300.

Im upgradin to a 1050ti and fx 8350 (this is the best I can do cpu wise in my mobo). My question is what should I go for first as I cant afford both at once?

(also as a side note im not very technical and really dont want ro be so will a pc be worth using, is it really complicated to build/upgrade)?

By the time you save up, there will be cheaper boards as well. This upgrade can last you for quiet a while into the future... http://www.pcgamer.com/intel-i5-8400-review-the-best-new-gaming-cpu-in-years/
750ti is still pretty decent. That 4300 needs urgent attention though. I will go that way first.
GPU replacement is not that difficult, but CPU can be. There are loads of tutorials on youtube, so take a day out and go through those attentively. You will get it eventually, everybody does.

Well, I only really checked PCPartPicker really quickly, but the cheapest 8350 I saw was $111. Too little bang for the buck.

I'd say that money is better saved, and wait until you build up to get a more modern system - which will require a CPU, motherboard, and DDR4 RAM. That will of course total to more than just the 8350 CPU costs, but will give you a much better performance gain.
