Problem copying/replacing/deleting specific file on NAS

I've been copying a large number of media files to my Plex server (via a MyCloudEx2Ultra). Everything has worked fine up to now, until I copied one specific file. The copying process hung and wouldn't complete. I tried to cancel but it wouldn't do that either.

After a reboot, I attempted to copy again, by trying to replace the previous (i assumed, incomplete) media file, but it still hung. After rebooting again, I tried deleting the particular folder that the problematic media file was copied to, but it wouldn't complete that task either.

I don't believe there's anything wrong with the original file I'm trying to copy and, although I haven't done any deep scans, the standard drive health reports from the NAS control panel doesn't show any obvious drive problems.

All other files read perfectly fine and new transfers on to the NAS also work smoothly. The only OS I've used with this has been Windows 10.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Thanks in advance.

When you rebooted. Do you just mean your computer or did you reboot the NAS as well?

When trying to delete. Are you just trying to delete via Windows Explorer? Have you tried through the web browser interface for your NAS? Assuming it has that ability.

I rebooted the nas and used the inteface to delete and reupload, which worked fine. I suspect it was probably the reboot of the drive that did it. Thank you.

You're welcome. Processes sometimes get stuck. Shutdown and restart all devices is the first rule of computer repair.
