I have a Dell Inspiron 17 5748 running Win7 SP1 64-bit.
I downloaded and installed 3 patches today (not the Meltdown or Spectre patches).
They are...
MSE KB2310138 v. 1.261.46.0
MSE KB2310138 v. 1.261.45.0
.NET Rollup KB4055532.
After doing this and rebooting the laptop and then closing the lid to hibernate, I noticed that there was still WiFi activity on my router coming from the laptop (correct PC Name and IP address).
The only way I could stop the activity is to Shutdown the laptop.
This is new since the patches.
Anyone else seen this lately?
