If all you need can fit on a ssd, that is best.
That is what I do.
240gb can hold the os and a number of games.
With 500gb, you may never need a hard drive at all.
If you are building new, I recommend starting with just a ssd.
It is easy to add a hard drive later.
If you need to store large files, a HDD will give you more economical storage.
