Hello!

So i recently got a new router and i was trying to set up some ingress / outgress control rules on certain devices. Now on the old router there was an easy interface like THIS. I found no such settings in the new router. I tried using the QoS but it does not have any effect at all!

Router : Cisco EPC 3208
Firmframe version : 1.0.3 Build 20161118 rel.64282(4555)
Hardware version : TL-WR1043N v5.0

But isn't bandwith limiting like the prime function of a router. The old one that got replaced had this and it was OLD, very OLD! Anyways is there any workaround to this? Custom firmframe or anything that could limit the ingress/out of people using my connection?

Limiting is not a prime function of a home router. Equal access is the prime function of a home router. Business or telco routers, yes. Home routers no. If throttling was a critical feature for you then you chose the wrong hardware.

That model router seems new enough that alternate firmware for the V5 is not available, that I could find.

I agree with Kanewolf, but I also think the router makers are trying to make the routers more user friendly and that normally results in fewer options and less customizability. One could say they are dumbing them down for the masses (sorry if I have offended the masses).

Can not aggre more with you. The previous router was the same with older firmrfame or something. I did not buy this router tho, it was supplied by the ISP for free.
