Have seen similar question before, but I think this is a new variant.
System has been working for a couple of years, but after a general power failure in our house (I was not home when it happened, so I don’t know the cause) system is dead. Error code is 00, but the CPU led is not on. I’m able to update BIOS from USB-stick using the push button, and this leads me to the conclusion that the motherboard might be ok. I have never used oc, so that’s not the root cause.

Would like to have other members opinions before I go out and purchase a new CPU.

Just an update:
There is nothing on the screen, so I cannot check bios settings and things like that.

Best regards

Ulf

Just updated my thread. Should have mentioned that there’s nothing on the screen.

Are you plugged into a discreet video card? If so, remove it, plug the monitor into the on-board video out, and see if you get anything.

Really need to know what's in your system. But in a dead system/power surge/cut problem the first thing you think about is the PSU. Are its fans coming on? Have you tried cycling its on/off switch (if it has one)? How do you know you successfully updated the BIOS if you have no access to the BIOS screen? Where are you seeing the error code 00?

OK - I have not done my homework, so here we go.
1. Fans are spinning, and I have checked 5v and 12v ok using a multimeter. Suppose I don’t have to measure every wire?
2. Has recycled the power - same result.
3. The bios update is done via the push button, and the manual says that when the blue light is turned off, flashing is finished. I could see the system was reading from the USB memory stick - there’s a LED showing access to the stick. I also had a typing error in the bios file, and then there was just a short blink, and the light on the push button stayed on forever. Was no problem when I corrected the typo.
4. Error message is shown on the motherboard- there’s a 2-digit display showing status while booting.
5. I have 32 GB memory and a not very impressive Nvidia video card. There is no video output on the motherboard.
6. Booting from 2 SSD disks in mirror. Data disk 1 GB
7. OS Windows 10 64 latest update, though this is probably not a software problem.
