Hi everybody!

Im helpless and need a running system in order to work. Any help is realy appriciated!!!

So here it goes. I recently moved houses. Everything just worked fine until my pc begann with problems. It wont start up. It happens only every 3rd or 5th time, someting like that. It does nothing. LEDs are on in the case as usual. Its like the system wouldnt recognise that i want to start it.

Sometimes it helpes when i unplug the system and leave it like that for a few minutes.
Sometimes it helpes when I take the graphic card out and put it back in.
Sometimes i have to plug it into the secound pcie slot in order to start up.

Once the PC runs, it runs perfectly without any flaws. Im realy out of ideas. I also couldnt find any similar problems on the net.

Is there maybe a troubleshooter software that could help me to find out whats wrong?
I built the system 1,5 years ago.

i7 6600k @4ghz
Zotac AMP Extreme GTX 980ti
Asus maximus viii hero
16GB Ram Platinum Dominator
Samsung 500GB SSD
CPU cooler ekwb predator 240

Any help is appreciated!!

Check windows system logs for errors first and yes double check all connection. You can reseat everything but the cpu (would fiddle with that).

I would guess your PSU is dying. What’s the make/model/age?

You could also try to clean the contacts on the gpu with a qtip and 99% isopropyl alcohol. Disconnected of course.

Edit: why turning pc on and off so much. Sleep is thd way to go. Reboot once a month after microsoft patches.

maybe the state of your system is "confused" right now.
shutdown. unplug your AC cable. off PSU. hold power button for 60secs. replug ur AC. turn on.

you can try to disable the "fast boot" feature in your BIOS.
also disable the "fast startup" in your windows.
https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-windows-10-fast-startup

then restart. then once you login again. hold shift key while you click on shutdown. this will give your OS a clear state.

Thanks for your idea! its 1,5 years old corsair AX860i. was pretty expensive so it better will not break down.
windows log gives me the following errors:

DistributedCOM 10023 & 10010
Serice control manager 7023
Kernel boot 29

i think i will reset and reinstall the whole system. What is the ditributedCOM failure? any ideas what it could be?
