Any help for my son graphic card plz thank u

Hello first time ere i bought my son a asus geforce gtx 1060 graphics card for his christmas.I installed it and at first it was working he checked a game to play and it was running smoothly.Then later he told me that his computer was restarting it self and then the screen was going blank but i was in bed so told him leave it and i would check it in the morning.So next day we switched it on and again it worked fine but later on it went blank and this time it stayed blank so i started looking for problems i updated the software,changed the cables even changed the power supply and still nothing but i did see on the screen it coming up saying hdmi instead of no signal any tips would be great thanks

His pc is a asus m31ad desktop with a i5-4460,ddr3 12g ram ive just installed a cosair cx 750 power supply.Current graphics card is a Evga gtx 960 and the new graphic card is a asus duel geforce gtx 1060 6gb hope ive got everything listed thanks for your time

I did uninstall the drivers at first then i used the nvidia experience to install the up to date drivers i did have a bit of trouble with this but it sorted it self out however after installing the power supply witch i think its a yellow lable i did put the new graphics card in after checking the power supply was working
