I had installed a surveillance camera in my home in a village in India. I have also paid and obtained a static ip address for the same. The camera was working fine for two years and I could pan and tilt by using Guarding Expert application on ios and android devices. The Service Provider has changed and this new service provider is saying that Port 8000 is not required. We are unable to get the camera working. Earlier it was working fine with Cisco router EA 6200. We also tried with CP Link router on the Service Provider's recommendations. But still the camera is not working. Kindly provide guidance to get this camera working.

When you switched to a new provider, did they change your static IP address? Is there somewhere in camera software or router that the new IP address needs to be entered?

If you were using port 8000 to access your camera before the change, then you should still need to use port 8000 (and probably a couple others) after the change. If your router is running a firewall, then I expect you will need to use port forwarding to allow remote access.
